Jaco Kroon
Jaco is the visionary behind Ultimate Linux Solutions. He has obtained a BSc.Hons (Computer Science) degree from the University of Pretoria in 2004 as well as the LPIC-3 certification in 2006, making him one of the most qualified Linux professionals in the country (if not the world). Before Jaco started ULS he worked for the university, maintaining a number of Linux, and some Windows, based servers for the Computer Science department at the University of Pretoria. He additionally worked for CSS Tirisano where obtained invaluable support experience, and knowledge regarding mass storage systems. After this he was employed by Netronome where he obtained significant low-level networking experience, as well as massive insight into networking in general.
Kevin Coetzee
Kevin is currently heading up the ULS Support division, where he is responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the support they are entitled to. Whilst working for us he is also in the process of obtaining his BSc degree Computer Science from Unisa. Before working at ULS he was employed as a support engineer by CSS Tirisano, primarily performing database support on their ERP/CRM system, and Terminal Servers.
Stephen Coetzee
Stephen started treading into the Linux environment early in 2008 with a 4-month Linux Acadamy Course, and got appointed there with an Internship. His employer at the time approached Jaco asking whether he'd be intersted in this particular student. The rest is, as we would say, history. Stephen now works full time for Ultimate Linux Solutions and is our leading expert when it comes to IP phones. He has obtained his LPIC-1, and is also planning to attempt his RHCE at some point in the future. Whilst it may be true that small things amuses small minds it is also a fact that atoms amused Einstein, Stephen has a particular attention to detail. Beyond this Stephen also has an extreme interest in clustering and virtualization concepts.
Wayne Coetzee
Wayne started here late 2008 just after finishing matric. He is our wireless guru, finishing his MikroTik Network and Wireless course in 2009. Wayne is busy with his BSC Software Engineering Stream like Kevin. Wayne is working in the support department and expanding his knowladge as he goes along. After he finishes his degree he hopes to be a successful programmer .
Louisa van der Schyff
Louisa joined the ULS team as Accountant in January 2012, after teaching Accounting to high school students for a period of four years. She enjoys working in the IT environment and takes pride in keeping the financial accounts of ULS accurate and up to date. If your account is not settled on time, she will be the one breathing down your neck.
Quintin Viljoen
Quintin Viljoen joined ULS in December 2012. And he likes Jazz
Marius Venter
After a period in ESKOM as a senior officer in the Business Strategy department of the Generation group Marius became Chief Executive of the Zamcargo Group of companies. He later started his own business and offered strategic management consulting services to companies in South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and the UK. He currently owns a company that offers a variety of services, including strategic consulting services, ISP services, and other IT and financial related services. He holds a BCom (Hons) in financial management and a Masters degree in Information Technology. Marius plans on embarking on a PHD in Information Technology.
